Scroggins, LLC.
Brand identity for a custom home builder and land developer in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Scroggins’ goal is to craft exceptional buildings, trusted relationships, and lifelong satisfaction.
Steve, the owner, is the heart of the brand, and it was necessary to capture his essence with the visual identity. Hence the bow tie abstraction in the logo form (Steve’s known for his bow ties). More than neckwear, the shape represents the relationships built between Steve and his clients during the intimate process of creating one’s home.
The Big Idea of Scroggins is “Beyond a Building.” More than building a house, which is lovely and beautiful, Steve builds trust. Trust is developed by design, not by accident. Steve’s continually innovating the customer journey to produce both beautiful homes and profound client satisfaction. It’s ultimately his process that differentiates him more than anything else. So, instead of using common visual elements associated with buildings or land, the Big Idea pushed the identity into the representation of Steve’s process at every decision point in the brand identity’s development.
Trischler Design Co.'s services for Scroggins included a brand strategy workshop, naming, brand identity design, website copy and design.
